ILLINOIS CRIME PREVENTION AWARDS NOMINATION
The Awards Committee is soliciting nominations from the membership to honor those who have, through their exceptional efforts, further promoted the Crime Prevention concept in the State of Illinois.
Nominations may be submitted in the following categories:
· UNIT OF THE YEAR – A Crime Prevention Unit that has worked together in achieving successful programs that help educate and promote safety throughout their community.
· CHIEF OF THE YEAR – A Chief of Police who has given exceptional support to the efforts of the Crime Prevention Unit and it’s Officer(s) or practioners above and beyond the normal realm.
· OFFICER OF THE YEAR – An Officer or Crime Prevention Specialist who has implemented new programs, assisted in many community projects, devoted time to the Crime Prevention cause above and beyond their normal duties.
· CORPORATION OF THE YEAR – A Business that through donations, time or manpower has assisted a Crime Prevention Program or Safety event on a continual basis.
· CITIZEN OF THE YEAR – A citizen who has volunteered their time to assist a Crime Prevention Unit either at events, programs, or through assisting at a Police Department with clerical duties, phone notifications, etc.
· ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR – An organized group of volunteers assisting a Crime Prevention Unit achieve a successful program or event, i.e. S.A.L.T., Boy Scouts, YMCA, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
All nominations must be received by TBA. Be sure to include the reasons you believe the nominees should be honored. Any nominations received after TBA, 11:59 pm will not be considered. To make a nomination fill out the attached form (only 1 additional page will be accepted) & mail or e-mail it to: Marion Heintz Downers Grove P.D. 825 Burlington Avenue Downers Grove, Il 60515 Ballots will be mailed during the 3rd week in April. Winners will be notified in May by the Illinois Crime Prevention Association State Board. Awards will be presented to the recipients at the June Conference Awards Dinner.
